How to safely treat a pimple for fast healing✨

@annaytime 👆🏻 Whenever I get a breakout, once it's open, I immediately start to cycle through Tretinoin, Differin, Chemical exfoliants (AHAs/BHAs/PHAs), Sulfur, and Vaseline/Cicaplast. ⁣⁣ Sulfur is another ingredient in my acne toolbox I always come back to since it's so effective at calming down my pimples without overly drying out my skin. I don't like to use Sulfur in a spot treatment format as I find it can be drying for my skin, so I enjoy it best in a mask form a la Murad's Acne Mask. ⁣⁣ Benzoyl peroxide has never worked for me as it dries and sensitizes my skin in addition to bleaching my pillowcases and towels. But even though BP doesn't work for me, I still encourage anyone who deals with acne to try it as we all have unique and different responses to skincare ingredients. ⁣⁣ And when you're treating a breakout, it's important to take a morning or evening break from exfoliation and do a hydration based routine to give your skin barrier a break. Constant exfoliation can lead to a compromised skin barrier which means irritation, redness, and a longer healing time for breakouts. ⁣⁣ What ingredients are in your acne toolbox? ⁣⁣ #annaytime #skincaretips #pimplepatch #acnedot #acnepatches #tretinoin #muradskincare #somebymi #vaseline #herocosmetics ♬ Feather - Sped Up - Sabrina Carpenter
